YvonneKiang

Ms Yvonne Kiang is the Deputy Director of Anglican Care Centre (Hougang), a service of the Singapore Anglican Community Services. She holds a Master-degree in Social Science (Counselling) and has worked in the social and mental health sectors for over 17 years. She is a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) since 2009.She is now a certified Master Trainer by Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) to conduct Introduction to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the CPRP Preparatory Courses. She is an active Committee Member of Association for Psychiatric Rehabilitation (Singapore) for about 9 years. She believes recovery is possible. She is passionate in equipping mental health professionals with knowledge and skills to better support persons with mental health issues.

TanWenXiang

Mr Tan Wen Xiang is Senior Occupational Therapist (Reg No. A1302460J), Singapore Association for Mental Health. He has an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA). He is a certified Master Trainer to conduct Introduction to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the CPRP Preparatory Courses. He has 15 years of work experience in a mental health setting, of which 9 years were in the area of vocational needs of persons with mental health issues.

He graduated with a diploma in occupational therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic and a degree in health science (occupational therapy) from the University of Sydney. He also regularly gives talks on workplace mental health at various organisations and public institutions.

SharonTan

Ms Sharon Tan is a Nurse Clinician working in IMH since 2000. A Motivational Interviewing Network Trainer / Associate member of MINT since 2013. Conducted many trainings on Motivational Interviewing at various places.

A Certified Psychiatric Rehab Practitioner (CPRP) in 2016; actively helping people recovered from their mental illness and completed a study on illness management and recovery program. She has graduated from Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) as a Certified Master Trainer of CPRP in 2017. Now an active trainer to conduct Introduction of Rehab, Recovery & Resilience course; Introduction to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the CPRP Preparatory courses.

A Certified Mentor/ Licensed Trainer of Milestone Of Recovery Scales (MORS) in 2014; and a Certified Solution Focus Brief Therapy Practitioner in 2015.

Published “ Burden & Coping strategies experienced by caregivers of persons with schizophrenia in the community (2012). Published “ Motivational Interviewing approach used by community Mental Health Team” (2014). Published “ Illness Management & Recovery Program for Mental Health problem: Reducing symptoms and increasing social functioning”(2017); Published “ Level of Awareness of students towards Mental Illness” (2017). She has presented many good outcome of different studies at different conferences.

Volunteer work as Treasurer of Association Psychiatric Rehabilitation Singapore (APRS),2015-2017; Secretary of APRS (2017-2018).

Invited speaker for Recovery Conference at Premai Hospital, Johore, Malaysia (2009). Invited speaker for Agency for Integrated Care for Motivational Interviewing training (2015).

Member of the Peer Reviewer of International Journal of Psychosocial Nursing & Mental Health Services (2016 - 2018)

She has been implementing Illness Management & Recovery program in IMH since 2008. She has trained many staff in using this program in IMH and supported external agency. There are many recovery stories resulted from the outcome of this recovery program.

OngXinLing

Ong Xin Ling Bsc(OT), CPRP Master trainer,
Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)

Ms Ong Xin Ling is a Senior Occupational Therapist with IMH APCATS. Currently, she is working for elderly with severe mental health issues and dementia in home setting. She is a strong advocator for recovery and frequently conduct trainings and workshops for the community partners and nursing home staffs.

She had extensive experiences of working for person with mental health issues in both institutionalised and community setting. Awarded the NCSS Leadership Development Scholarship (2014-2016). She had observed mental health practices in NUH and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (Hong Kong).She is one of the nine Master Trainers in Singapore that has been certified by Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) to conduct introduction to Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the CPRP Preparatory Courses.
